The Forgotten Fundamentals

I came across this video and was truly thankful to its creator. The video is so beautifully made, capturing the fundamental somatic movements that most of us have forgotten, as our movements became more "sophisticated".

I am so-going to read more about the Feldenkrais Method. It seems to be really interesting and good for functional rehabilitation.

Really, some of the things Feldenkrais wrote - I mean, some of his thoughts - are just so profound. Not in any kind of 'exercise' sense, but more personal. I'm thinking of the book "Awareness Through Movement"

completely agree - his philosophy on human nature sometimes pops out at you in Awareness Through Movement. of course, the book's title really points to that - calling out "awareness" is nothing less than the Yoga Sutra
